Job summary

IP Australia is seeking an experienced Web Content Officer to drive content strategy for the corporate website within the Digital Experience team. You will collaborate across the agency to ensure content is audience-oriented, accurate, engaging and accessible.

The role also offers the opportunity to support the Web, Multimedia and Design team on content for other web-based platforms and to review education materials. Applications close 11:59pm AEST on 01 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience writing and editing web content for government or similar organisations.
• Ability to translate complex information into plain English.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and the Australian Government Digital Experience Policy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and publish content that is accurate, engaging, and accessible.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to simplify legal and technical information.
• Conduct keyword research and optimise metadata, headings, and page structure.
• Work with internal teams and external partners to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
• Ensure content complies with accessibility requirements and agency policies.
