Job summary

Amida Group in Sydney is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead multi‑sector infrastructure projects from tendering through to delivery. You will manage design, planning, contract and OH&S aspects while coordinating with consultants and subcontractors to meet client expectations.

The role involves running projects from smaller sizes up to about $10m, with potential for larger scopes in the future.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or similar.
• Minimum 7 years+ experience in delivering projects end-to-end.
• Proven leadership ability to build and motivate teams.

Responsibilities

• Tendering and work winning for projects across transport and water sectors.
• Recruitment of teams and managing teams on site.
• Design comprehensive project programmes and communicate to the team.
• Delivery of projects from inception through to completion.
• Ensure construction programmes are followed and deliver project quality to programme.
• Identify and manage construction risk and escalate issues when required.
• Manage project expenditure and cash flow and reporting.

A market leading Tier 2 contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, our client is now seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their growing business in Sydney.

They work across new build, refurbishments, remediation, upgrades etc. on transport and water infrastructure projects. You will be running projects from smaller up to $10m. Other projects in the future could be $20m+.

As Senior Project Manager, you will need to have strong commercial acumen, tender management, contracts management, design management, OHS, programming / planning experience as well as running meetings with consultants and subcontractors to provide a high-quality service that will ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.

You will be working very closely with the Operations Manager and undertaking some business development, tendering and work winning responsibilities as well as delivery of projects, recruitment of teams and managing of teams with support from senior management.

Would suit a candidate looking for some career progression and a step up in duties.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or similar
• Minimum 7 years+ experience in the successful delivery of projects from start to finish ideally from a Tier 1 or 2 or 3 background
• Proven leadership ability in building and motivating teams to deliver high quality projects
• Previous experience delivering greenfield projects
• Detailed knowledge of local council and regulatory requirements / standards
• Strong planning and project financial reporting skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Well-developed interpersonal skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite
• Construction Safety Induction (white) card
