Job summary

Dubbo Regional Council is seeking a Water and Wastewater Treatment Assistant to support the Water Supply & Sewerage branch. The role combines outdoor and office work to ensure clean, reliable drinking water and environmentally safe sewage treatment for our region.

You’ll be part of a dedicated team, contributing to essential operations, maintenance, and batching procedures, with opportunities for skill development and career growth in a community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Experience in water treatment operations would be an advantage.
• Experience in the operation of powered and unpowered hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the effective, efficient operation of treatment plants and managing reservoirs, booster stations and sewer pumping stations to ensure they are of high quality and meet requirements.
• Assisting in general maintenance and operations of water and sewer treatment facilities.
• Assist in the batching and dosing procedures.
• Maintaining the yards and enclosures at water treatment facilities.
