Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Process Engineer to join its Ballarat operations, reporting to the Operations Manager. You will work across a broad range of operational and capital improvement projects, taking them from investigation and planning through to implementation and review.

Qualifications

• A degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience with wastewater treatment processes.
• Project management or project delivery experience.
• Strong technical report writing and professional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse water and wastewater treatment performance.
• Troubleshoot process issues, complete root cause investigations and recommend practical solutions.
• Identify, lead and deliver continuous improvement, asset upgrade and operational projects.
• Manage projects from scoping and planning through to implementation and handover.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual contract reports, technical recommendations and client correspondence.
• Support incident response, reporting, audits and quality management activities.
• Work closely with operations, clients, contractors and technical specialists.
• Participate in the operations on call roster.
