Job summary
Veolia Environmental Services in Ballarat seeks a Process Engineer to join its operations, taking ownership of diverse water and wastewater improvement projects from planning to handover. You will analyse plant performance, troubleshoot issues and implement practical solutions to improve safety, efficiency and environmental outcomes.
The role offers involvement across multiple sites in regional Victoria with travel, and a focus on continuous improvement, reporting and professional development
Qualifications
- Degree in Process Engineering or Chemical Engineering
- Experience with wastewater treatment processes
- Project management or project delivery experience
- Strong technical report writing and professional communication skills
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse water and wastewater treatment performance
- Troubleshoot process issues, root cause investigations and recommend practical solutions
- Identify, lead and deliver continuous improvement, asset upgrade and operational projects
- Manage projects from scoping and planning through to implementation and handover
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual contract reports, technical recommendations and client correspondence
- Support incident response, reporting, audits and quality management activities
- Work closely with operations, clients, contractors and technical specialists
- Participate in the operations on call roster
