Job summary

Ballina Shire Council is seeking a Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to join our wastewater plants team on the Far North Coast of NSW. You will operate, monitor and maintain treatment facilities to ensure safe, reliable drinking water, recycled water and wastewater services for the community.

Working as part of a small team, you will share knowledge by training trainees, uphold regulatory and safety standards, and contribute to continuous improvement, asset management and efficient

Qualifications

• Must hold Certificate III in Water Industry Treatment or equivalent.
• Demonstrated knowledge of water and wastewater treatment operations and safety requirements.
• Experience in supervising and training staff.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and maintain wastewater treatment plant facilities.
• Identify and resolve faults to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Train and mentor trainees and work collaboratively with the team.
