Council Jobs on the Gold Coast is seeking an Engineering Compliance Officer to provide specialist technical expertise in the assessment, approval and compliance of water, recycled water and wastewater infrastructure. You will assess development applications, manage non‑standard connections, review construction methodologies, and conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with approvals.

A Civil or Mechanical Engineering degree and experience with SEQ D&C Code and quality management systems

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent knowledge.
• Substantial knowledge of designing and constructing water and sewer assets.
• Knowledge of legislation including Workplace Health and Safety Act, Environmental Protection Act, Water Act 2000.
• Experience using quality management systems (9001, 14001, HACCP, 4801).

Aufgaben

• Assess development applications and apply compliance conditions for water, recycled water, and wastewater services.
• Manage non-standard water and sewer connections, including live works, shutdowns, and bypass arrangements.
• Review and approve construction methodologies, QA documentation, commissioning, and As-Constructed data.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve design or construction conflicts to ensure compliance.
• Provide technical input into standards and best-practice outcomes, collaborating across teams.
