City of Gold Coast is seeking an Engineering Compliance Officer to provide specialist technical expertise in assessing, approving, and ensuring compliance of water, recycled water, and wastewater infrastructure.

You will work within the Engineering, Design and Standards Branch, collaborating across teams to interpret legislation and standards while guiding development from planning through construction to handover. This role requires strong communication and a proactive problem-solving approach.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of water and sewer asset design and construction.
• Strong understanding of SEQ D&C Code requirements.
• Familiarity with WHS Act, Environmental Protection Act and Water Act 2000.
• Experience applying development planning approvals and conditions.

Responsabilidades

• Assess development applications and apply compliance conditions for water, recycled water, and wastewater services.
• Review non-standard water and sewer connections, including live works, shutdowns, and bypass arrangements.
• Approve construction methodologies, QA documentation, commissioning, and As-Constructed data.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve design or construction conflicts for compliance.
• Provide technical input into standards and collaborate across teams.
