Job summary

Snowy Monaro Regional Council is seeking a Water and Wastewater Technician to support delivery of quality water and wastewater services to our community. You will install, maintain and monitor the water and wastewater network, ensure compliance with legislative requirements, and accurately document data for reporting.

Key qualifications include the Construction Induction White Card and relevant water industry certificates.

Qualifications

Required safety certifications and certificates listed above.
Ability to physically perform duties and work on-call hours.

Responsibilities

Deliver quality water and wastewater services to the community.
Install, maintain and monitor Council’s water and wastewater network.
Document and review data; report anomalies as required.
Collaborate across teams; support maintenance and operations of treatment plants.
Maintain customer and stakeholder relationships through effective communication.
Be available for weekend and on-call rosters and respond to emergencies.
Monitor performance and progress toward work plan goals.
Use resources efficiently to deliver services.
Support council performance and uphold safety and legislative requirements.
Contribute to a safe workplace and be accountable for actions.
