Job summary

Central Highlands Water is seeking a Civil Maintenance team member to support reactive and preventative maintenance across water and sewer assets in the Central Highlands region. In this hybrid role, you’ll operate plant, inspect equipment and carry out daily maintenance with guidance from senior staff.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications and experience.
• Well developed verbal communication, reasoning and numeracy skills.
• Physical capacity to work outdoors under varying conditions.
• Solid understanding of OH&S practices for field activities.
• Ability to undertake 24/7 standby roster.

Responsibilities

• Work within a small work team undertaking reactive and preventative civil maintenance activities.
• Civil Maintenance plant and equipment operation, inspections and daily maintenance requirements.
• Plan and manage jobsites, booking of contractors and organisation of follow up works.
• Provide on-the-job training, based on skills and/or experience, to new employees.
