Job summary

Cowra Shire Council is seeking a Water and Wastewater Attendant in the Infrastructure & Operations Department. The role focuses on maintenance, repairs, and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure, with duties spanning onsite tasks and customer service.

On-call work is required on a rotating roster, with residency within the Cowra LGA preferred to perform on-call duties. Qualifications related to asbestos awareness, confined space, MR or HR licences and plant operation are

Qualifications

• Experience in water/wastewater or related field is advantageous.
• Asbestos awareness and confined space qualifications are advantageous.
• MR or HR licence and plant operation knowledge (including excavator) are advantageous.
• Must be willing to work in a team and participate in on-call rosters.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and construct water infrastructure including mains and new services.
• Maintain, repair and construct wastewater infrastructure including sewer mains and blockages.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform after-hours and on-call duties on a rotating roster.
