Soak It on the Sunshine Coast is seeking an experienced Water Cart Operator to support landscape construction and maintenance projects across the Sunshine Coast and surrounding areas.

This hands-on role requires operating HR water carts, providing precise watering for new plantings, turf, trees and garden areas, and coordinating watering routes across multiple sites. You will work independently and with foremen to keep equipment and sites running smoothly.

Responsibilities

Soak It is looking for a reliable, experienced Water Cart Operator to support our landscape construction and maintenance projects across the Sunshine Coast and surrounding areas.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands water cart operations, takes pride in their equipment and can confidently manage watering requirements across active project sites.

Our work includes providing essential watering services for major residential developments, newly established landscapes, parks and public spaces.

What you'll be doing

Operating HR/MR water carts across landscape construction and maintenance sites.

Providing controlled watering of newly planted landscapes, turf, trees and established garden areas.

Managing watering runs across multiple sites, working around other trades, machinery and site activities.

Safely accessing water supplies, filling tanks and operating water cart equipment.

Working independently and coordinating daily priorities with Foremen, site teams and management.

Completing pre-start inspections, identifying defects and looking after your allocated truck and equipment.

Maintaining accurate daily records, timesheets and site documentation.

Lending a hand with general landscaping and maintenance work when required.

What we're looking for

We're after someone who knows their way around a water cart and understands that the job involves more than getting from one site to another.

Current HR driver's licence and Queensland manual driver's licence.

Construction White Card.

Practical experience operating HR water carts.

Sound understanding of safe operation around active construction sites, machinery and ground crews.

Good mechanical awareness and ability to carry out daily checks.

Reliable, organised and comfortable working independently.

Highly regarded:

Three or more years' water cart operating experience.

Experience in landscape construction, horticulture or civil works.

Standpipe ticket.

Certificate III in Horticulture or Landscaping.
