Job summary

BLC Queensland is seeking a reliable and motivated Water Truck Operator to join our team across South East Queensland. This role supports watering; dust suppression on commercial landscaping projects and helps maintain site safety and productivity.

The successful candidate will assist site teams and contribute to on-time project delivery within our growing landscaping business, with a focus on hands-on truck operation, safety compliance, and teamwork across locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' water truck operating experience preferred.
• HR Licence and Construction Induction White Card (Essential).
• Physically capable of entering/exiting the truck and performing manual tasks.
• Reliable, punctual and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Operate water trucks safely across commercial landscaping and construction sites.
• Carry out watering of landscaped areas and dust suppression activities.
• Hand-water areas where truck access is limited.
• Complete daily pre-start checks and basic vehicle maintenance.
• Maintain clean and safe work sites, depot areas, and vehicles.
• Assist with general landscape construction works when required.
• Comply with all workplace health and safety requirements and company procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.

What You'll Be Doing

• Operate water trucks safely across commercial landscaping and construction sites

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience operating water trucks or working within construction or landscaping environments
• Minimum 2 years' water truck operating experience preferred
• Candidates with less experience will be considered based on overall suitability
• HR Licence and Construction Induction White Card (Essential)
• RIMPO326E- Conduct Water Vehicle Operation (Desired)
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices
• Physically capable of regularly entering and exiting the truck and undertaking manual tasks where required
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions
• Reliable, punctual, and motivated with a positive team-focused attitude
• Valid Australian work rights
