Job summary

All Aspects Excavator Hire in Hervey Bay, QLD, seeks a motivated, clean and professional Water Cart/Side Tipper Driver to join the team. Based in Hervey Bay, duties span southeast Queensland, with occasional away work.

You will operate our side tipper/water cart on civil projects, ensure safety, and support crew as needed. The role requires a minimum HR licence, 2 years driving, white card, and NHVR compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum HR (Heavy Rigid) licence.
• Minimum 2 years' driving experience.
• Current white card (construction induction).
• Current Queensland driver history report (TMR).
• Water cart experience, or RII competency for water cart operation.
• Good communication and navigation skills.
• A great attitude and high respect for equipment and teammates.
• Strong safety focus and ability to follow site procedures.
• Reliable and trustworthy, with the ability to work to company goals and targets.
• Right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Operate the HR water cart safely and efficiently for dust suppression, soil compaction and site watering.
• Monitor water levels and use water efficiently, refilling at approved points.
• Work around loaders, excavators, trucks, and pedestrians, following site rules and traffic management.
• Cart and deliver bulk materials such as gravel, sand, soil, and fill.
• Load, tip and spread materials safely and accurately, watching for power lines, soft or uneven ground, and people.
• Ensure loads are covered, restrained and within legal mass and dimension limits before leaving site.
• Work closely with excavator and loader operators.
• Complete pre-start and post-start checks on the truck every shift.
• Report faults, damage and maintenance needs promptly.
• Keep the truck clean, roadworthy, and compliant, including NHVR requirements where applicable.
• Complete dockets, logbooks, and timesheets accurately.
• Take part in pre-start meetings and toolbox talks.
• Follow WHS/OHS policies and safe work procedures at all times.
• Report hazards, near misses and incidents straight away.
• Communicate clearly with the Leading Hand, operators, and other drivers, including by two-way radio.
• Help with general yard duties when required, such as moving material and keeping the site tidy.

About the Role

All Aspects Excavator Hire is seeking motivated, clean and professional driver to join the growing team. Based in Hervey Bay, however work will be across southeast Queensland. You will operate our side tipper/water cart truck on civil, road construction and earthmoving projects. You must be able to work away from Hervey Bay during the week while required. This is a hands‑on role for someone who takes pride in their truck, works safely, and is happy to help the crew when the cart isn’t needed.

Key Responsibilities

Driver operations

• First Aid / CPR certification
