Hydrochem is seeking a Water Treatment Service Technician to cover Newcastle and surrounding areas. The role involves servicing cooling towers, filtration systems, and water treatment assets across multiple sites, with on-site testing and chemical dosing adjustments.

You will travel to sites monthly, perform installations, and document water quality results. No prior experience is required as comprehensive on-the-job training is provided, with a company vehicle and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Mechanical-minded and good with technology.
• Able to carry chemical drums weighing approx. 15 kg.
• Comfortable with heights and climbing ladders.
• Love being outdoors and working with your hands.
• Proven history of independent time management.
• Able to confidently communicate with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Servicing Newcastle, Central Coast and surrounding areas.
• Regular service, cleaning and maintenance of client assets such as cooling towers, closed-circuit heating/chilled systems and filtration systems.
• On-site testing to determine water quality and adjust dosing levels via digital controllers.
• Interpreting and recording controller ranges and identifying root causes of faults.
• Hands-on installations with PVC components, metal structures and mechanical equipment.
• Overnight travel is required on a monthly basis with expenses paid.

The Role

Working across multiple sites and industries in Newcastle, your position will involve:

Servicing Newcastle, Central Coast and surrounding areas.

regular service, cleaning and maintenance of client assets such as cooling towers, closed-circuit heating/chilled systems and filtration systems

working on-site, carrying out testing to determine water quality, and adjusting chemical dosing levels via digital controllers as required

interpreting and recording chemical ranges from a controller and adjusting as required, as well as identifying underlying causes of faults when they occur

Hands-on installations with PVC components, metal structures and mechanical equipment

Overnight travel is required on a monthly basis, all expenses paid.
