Job summary

Whitsunday Regional Council is seeking a Water & Sewerage Network Operations Worker (Licenced Fitter) in Proserpine, QLD. You will maintain treatment plants, perform fabrication and repairs, and ensure reliable, safe operations of Council infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Water and Sewerage Treatment Plants and related infrastructure.
• Repair, fabricate and maintain water/sewerage mechanical systems as per Asset Management outputs.
• Respond to equipment failures and ensure safe, reliable service delivery.

In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out and providing quality service delivery and ensuring the complete reliability and safe operations of Council’s infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance of Water and Sewerage Treatment Plants including general maintenance, fabrications and repairs
2. Maintenance, repairs and installation on water and sewerage mechanical infrastructure in accordance with the Asset Management outputs
3. Maintenance, repairs and installation on water and sewerage mechanical infrastructure in response to equipment failures

Operational Accountabilities:

1. Ensure that all work carried out is undertaken professionally, to a high standard and in a safe efficient manner
2. Complete basic office duties such as ordering of spare parts, quotations and maintain accurate records
3. Deal effectively and effectively with internal and external stakeholder, including customer service requests, complaints and general enquiries and transactions
4. Relieve at other locations throughout the region as required
5. Undertake other relevant duties as required

Essential

1. Class MR drivers licence (or willing to obtain)
2. White Construction card
3. Trade Qualified Fitter
