Job summary

Whitsunday Regional Council is seeking a Water & Sewerage Network Operations Worker (Licenced Fitter) in Proserpine, QLD. You will maintain treatment plants, perform fabrication and repairs, and ensure reliable, safe operations of Council infrastructure.

Essential qualifications include a Trade Qualified Fitter, MR licence, White Card, and a range of safety certificates. The role offers a 9-day fortnight and salary sacrifice benefits, with applications closing soon.

Qualifications

• MR licence required.
• White Construction Card required.
• Trade Qualified Fitter certification required.
• High Risk Forklift licence desirable.
• Current First aid and CPR certificate required.
• Low voltage certificate desirable.
• Working at Heights certificate desirable.
• Working in Confined Space certificate desirable.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Experience in fabrication, pump maintenance and servicing of pipes and mains.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Water and Sewerage Treatment Plants and related infrastructure.
• Repair, fabricate and maintain water/sewerage mechanical systems as per Asset Management outputs.
• Respond to equipment failures and ensure safe, reliable service delivery.
