Job summary

Banana Shire Council seeks a proactive leader to head the reticulation team for water supply and sewerage assets across the Shire. You will supervise, plan, and implement maintenance and capital works, ensuring responsive repairs and robust documentation.

You will coordinate staff, manage resources, and liaise with public and authorities while upholding safety and quality standards. This role is a hands-on, field-based leadership position.

Qualifications

• Compulsory leadership experience in water reticulation projects.
• Demonstrated experience with water supply and sewerage infrastructure.
• Ability to manage resources and budgets for projects.
• Strong communication and reporting capabilities.
• Commitment to safety, WHS and equal opportunity principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the reticulation team.
• Install, operate and maintain water and sewerage reticulation schemes.
• Respond to maintenance issues across the Shire networks.
• Rectify issues by priorities and resources to restore operations.
• Assist with planned maintenance tasks and capital works.
• Coordinate staff and resources to complete projects.
• Maintain logs, asset records and monthly reports.
• Conduct stocktakes and monitor consumption.
• Participate in toolbox and team meetings.
• Support plant maintenance and public relations.
