Banana Shire Council seeks a senior Manager Water Services in Queensland for a full-time, 3-year maximum term contract. You will provide strategic leadership, oversee water and sewerage operations, governance and capital programs, and lead a team of seven staff to deliver safe, compliant services.

Reporting to the Director Council Services, you will ensure regulatory compliance, asset stewardship and customer outcomes while fostering a high-performing workforce and strong stakeholder

Formación

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Civil/Environmental) and registration as a Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ).
• Current Class C driver’s license and Construction White Card.
• Demonstrated senior leadership experience in municipal water and sewerage service delivery.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic leadership and professional oversight for water and sewerage operations.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, water quality risk management and asset stewardship.
• Lead capital program development, contract governance and safety initiatives.
• Drive operational excellence, performance metrics and continuous improvement.
• Mentor and develop a multidisciplinary team and manage workforce planning.
• Oversee financial governance, budgets and procurement aligned with policies.
• Engage with regulators, councils, and external stakeholders to communicate information.
