Shire of Banana is seeking a hands-on Labourer to support the water services team. You will perform general labouring duties and operate backhoe, excavator and other plant to required standards, while assisting the team and participating in toolbox talks.

You will also help maintain Water and Sewerage Treatment Plants and contribute to public relations during client liaison with council staff and the community. Weekend/public holiday cover and on-call duties may apply.

Formación

• Compulsory licences: MR (minimum provisional) and Backhoe competency.
• Desirable: HR licence and plant tickets (skidsteer, excavator, forklift).
• Experience in general labouring and operating plant with safety focus.

Responsabilidades

• Perform general labouring duties on site.
• Operate backhoe, excavator and other plant to required standards.
• Assist team and participate in toolbox and team meetings.
• Assist with maintenance of Water and Sewerage Treatment Plants.
• Support public relations and liaise with clients and authorities.
• Undertake routine admin tasks (e.g., timesheets) as required.
• Participate in training and disaster response activities as needed.
