Job summary

Banana Shire Council in Central Queensland is seeking a hands-on team member to assist with the operation, maintenance and repair of water supply and sewerage infrastructure, including treatment plants and related facilities.

You will monitor process parameters, collect samples, perform routine analyses, manage log sheets and assist with asset records and monthly reports while ensuring compliance with safety and Council policies.

Qualifications

• Compulsory: Queensland C class driver licence (minimum provisional)
• White Card (General Safety Induction) certification
• Certificate III in Water Industry, or commitment to undertake and complete this qualification

Responsibilities

• Assist with operation, maintenance and repair of water supply and sewerage infrastructure
• Monitor treatment process parameters and dosing requirements
• Collect samples for analysis and undertake routine analyses
• Respond to operational changes to ensure continuous supply to defined standards
• Update log sheets, asset records and monthly reports
• Operate SCADA/Telemetry to monitor parameters and respond to alarms
• Assist in supervising contractors and other staff as required
