Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our WA team and contribute to water infrastructure projects across Western Australia. You will support mechanical design, calculations, and documentation under senior engineers to meet client expectations.

You'll collaborate with internal teams and external consultants, prepare proposals, attend meetings, and assist with contract administration tasks. Our projects include water and wastewater systems, treatment facilities and mechanical

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years in consulting or as Mechanical Engineer in current role.
• Knowledge of WA market is advantageous.
• Strong technical writing, communication, and time management skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development (CPD).

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical designs including drawings, calculations, reports and specifications for multidisciplinary projects.
• Use industry software to analyse and design mechanical components.
• Assist in selecting systems and materials and contribute to specifications and visuals.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants for coordination.
• Prepare engineering documents, plans and schedules.
