Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Sydney office to lead electrical design and reviews for water infrastructure projects. You will develop drawings, calculations, and specifications while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team and contract partners to ensure quality output for small to medium projects.

Applicants should have a tertiary electrical engineering qualification and at least 5 years in the water/wastewater sector, plus strong communication and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• CPEng eligibility or ongoing pursuit.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in the water/wastewater sector.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review electrical designs for water projects.
• Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Support construction teams with technical guidance and site queries.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure design compatibility.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs; produce site observation reports.
• Assist in cost estimation, value engineering, and safety in design workshops.
