Job summary

Ventia is seeking a Mechanical Tradesperson to support the Seqwater contract across the Southern Region (Redlands, Gold Coast, Scenic Rim). The role involves fault finding, repairs and servicing of pumps, gearboxes and related equipment, with duties across CMMS documentation and safety compliance.

We offer a base rate of 44.54–48.12 AUD per hour plus a 7.60 AUD trade allowance (total 52.14–55.72 AUD per hour) plus super, full-time 40 hours with an on-call component, and a tool of trade vehicle,

Qualifications

• Mechanical Trade Certificate is required.
• Current Driver's Licence is required.
• Construction White Card is required.
• Strong communication and problem solving skills are essential.
• Willingness to obtain additional tickets: First Aid, CPR, Gas test Atmosphere, Confined Space Entry, Working at Heights, Plant tickets.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and complete allocated work orders.
• Service, repair and inspect assets such as pumps, gearboxes, actuators, cranes & winches.
• Record progress in the CMMS and manage documentation.
• Travel to assets across the network and attend pre-start meetings.
• Adhere to safety, compliance, policy and procedures.
• Report on planned/ completed works, risks and issues; suggest process improvements.
