Qualifikationen

• Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter or Electrical Fitter/Electrician.
• Experience in sewage treatment, wastewater treatment, water treatment or closely related industrial facilities.
• Strong fault-finding, maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with pumps, motors, rotating equipment or electrical plant systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a maintenance team.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance.

People8 has partnered with a leading Australian infrastructure and utilities organisation to recruit experienced Mechanical Fitters for opportunities across Brisbane's water and wastewater treatment facilities.

We are looking for skilled tradespeople with relevant experience in water treatment, sewage treatment, wastewater facilities or industrial plant maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on water and wastewater treatment equipment.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical or electrical faults.

• Maintain pumps, motors, valves, compressors and associated plant equipment relevant to your trade.

• Support equipment installations, upgrades and commissioning activities.

• Respond to breakdowns and minimise operational downtime.

• Follow safety procedures and maintain high standards of operational reliability.

About you

• Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter or Electrical Fitter/Electrician.

• Experience in sewage treatment, wastewater treatment, water treatment or closely related industrial facilities (highly desired)

• Strong fault-finding, maintenance and troubleshooting skills.

• Experience working with pumps, motors, rotating equipment or electrical plant systems, depending on trade.
