Job summary

Ventia is seeking a Mechanical Tradesperson to deliver fault finding, repairs and servicing across the Seqwater network, covering the Southern Region (Redlands, Gold Coast and Scenic Rim).

This full-time role includes a 40-hour work week, with 1 x RDO every 4 weeks, stand-by on-call allowances, and a Tool of Trade vehicle plus phone and tablet. Applicants should have a Mechanical Trade Certificate, a drivers licence, and a construction white card.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Tradesperson with strong fault finding, repair and servicing capabilities.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Hold a current Drivers licence and Construction White Card.

Responsibilities

• Deliver work orders including fault finding, repairs and renewals of mechanical equipment across the Seqwater network.
• Service, repair and inspect pumps, gearboxes, actuators, cranes & winches etc.
• Perform administrative tasks in the CMMS and document progress.
• Travel to assets across the network and attend pre-start meetings.
• Adhere to safety, compliance, policy and procedures and report risks.

Ventia deliver preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance along with electrical, mechanical and instrumental services across its water network, servicing 35 water treatment plants, 95 pump stations and 26 referable dams.

About the Role

The Mechanical Tradesperson purpose is to deliver workorders including fault finding, repairs and servicing and renewals of mechanical equipment across the Seqwater network.

We are looking for Mechanical Tradespeople to help cover the Southern Region (Redlands, Gold Coast and Scenic Rim).

Candidates must be willing to undergo a medical and police check as part of the recruitment process.

Key duties include but are not limited to-

• Perform and deliver allocated work orders
• Service, repair and inspect assets such as pumps, gearboxes, actuators, cranes& winches etc
• Perform administrative tasks and document work progressions within the computerised maintenance management system(CMMS)
• Travel and commute to relevant assets across the network including attendance to pre-start meetings
• Ensure adherence to safety, compliance, policy and procedures
• Reporting activities relating to works planned, completed, risks and issues, with a focus on ongoing improvement of processes to support delivery.

About You

Ideally you will have experience in the water infrastructure sector.
