Job summary

Downer on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Crew Leader to join the Water Division in Arundel. You will oversee planned and reactive maintenance of the water and sewerage network, plus minor replacements and extensions, ensuring reliable delivery of safe, high-quality water services.

Permanent role with EBA rates, Monday to Friday with a monthly RDO, plus ongoing training, mentoring and safety-focused culture. We welcome applicants with relevant licenses and Cert III qualifications.

Qualifications

• Construction Induction card (White Card) required.
• Heavy Rigid or above driver's licence required.
• Experience in water/utilities industry preferred.
• Experience operating excavators, bobcats and related plant.
• Strong communication and time-management skills expected.
• Commitment to Zero Harm safety culture expected.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are currently looking for an experienced Crew Leader to join our Water Division overseeing planned and reactive maintenance of the water and sewerage network, as well as minor replacements, renewals, and extension works. You will help ensure the reliable delivery of safe, high-quality water and sewerage services to the community.

About You

• A Construction Induction card (White Card)
• A current driver's licence of Heavy Rigid or above
• Cert III Water Operations or Cert III Civil Construction - Pipelaying (desirable)
• Class B Asbestos Removalist Qualifications (highly desirable)
• Proven experience working in the water / utilities industry
• Experience with operating plant and equipment such as excavators, bobcats etc.
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• A strong commitment to our Zero Harm safety culture
