Job summary

Unitywater invites applications for a Treatment Plant Operator / Assistant Operator to support safe, reliable operation of our sewage treatment and recycled water plants across Noosa, Coolum, Cooroy and Kenilworth. This temporary role runs through to December 2027, offering hands-on development in the water industry.

You will work alongside experienced operators, assist with daily plant operations, monitor performance via SCADA, collect samples, perform routine analyses and help with basic

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Wastewater Treatment is desirable.
• Current C Class Driver’s Licence.
• Attention to detail and time management.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with corporate systems.
• Proactive approach to safety and teamwork.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily plant operations and maintenance.
• Monitor performance using SCADA.
• Collect samples and undertake routine analysis.
• Support basic troubleshooting, data entry and reporting.
• Maintain clean, safe sites through housekeeping and grounds maintenance.
