Job summary

Unitywater is seeking a Treatment Plant Operator / Assistant Operator to support the safe and reliable operation of wastewater and recycled water plants across Noosa, Coolum, Cooroy and Kenilworth. This temporary role runs through December 2027, offering hands-on experience and development within the water industry.

You will work with experienced operators, monitor performance with SCADA, collect samples, carry out routine analysis and assist with basic troubleshooting, data entry and reporting,

Qualifications

Certificate III in Wastewater Treatment is desirable.
C Class Driver’s Licence is required.
Attention to detail and time management skills.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and corporate systems.

Responsibilities

Support safe and reliable operation of wastewater/recycled water plants.
Monitor performance using SCADA and collect samples.
Carry out routine analysis and assist with troubleshooting.
Data entry and reporting.
Maintain clean, safe and presentable sites through housekeeping.
Support on-the-job learning and development in wastewater operations.
