Job summary

O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat in Canungra, Queensland, is seeking a Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator with strong process control experience to join a long‑standing family business within Lamington National Park.

You will contribute to safe and efficient wastewater operations, demonstrate chemical and mechanical know‑how, and uphold public and environmental health, with a can‑do attitude and strong attention to detail.

The Role

In this role, you will have strong experience in process control, demonstrated chemical and mechanical know-how and have experience in safe and effective waste water treatment operations. Your enthusiasm for public and environmental health is critical to the effective functioning of our Waste Water Treatment Plant. You will have a can-do attitude as you contribute meaningfully to a diverse team. Attention to detail and an innovative approach to problem solving are highly prized attributes.

Qualities we look for:

• Demonstrated experience in the safe operation and maintenance of Waste Water treatment facilities
• Willingness to adapt and solve operational issues
• Demonstrated ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills, including graphical, numerical and verbal communication
• Ability to interpret and utilise critical and complex problem solving techniques
• Demonstrated computer literacy
• Willingness to work a rotating on-call roster across various aspects of the Maintenance Department
• Certificate three in Waste Water Management. If you do no have a certificate but have strong experience we will support you to get qualified and your salary will increase accordingly.
