Job summary

Workfast is seeking Waste Sorters & Labourers to join our Recycling and Waste Management team in Hemmant, QLD. You will operate on a conveyor belt to sort waste, support with site tasks, and collaborate with supervisors to maintain safety and efficiency.

The role requires an Australian driver’s licence, reliable transport, and the ability to pass medical and drug tests. Competitive pay and ongoing work opportunities are provided on a 4:00am–1:00pm or 2:00pm–12:00am shift.

We are actively seeking dedicated Waste Sorters & Labourers to join our Recycling and Waste Management team. You will be part of a motivated crew working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that operations run smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate on a conveyor belt sorting waste materials, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Support the team with additional tasks such as shovelling, spotting, site cleanup, when required, emphasising teamwork and efficiency.

Collaborate with supervisors and management, contributing to a positive and productive workplace.

Commit to continuous improvement initiatives, actively participating in maintaining a high standard of work.

Follow all relevant policies and regulations while ensuring your safety and the safety of your colleagues.

Perform any other duties as assigned by the site manager or team leader.

What You Bring to the Team:

Australian Driver's Licence and full working rights.

Prior experience in a Similar role.
