Job summary

Workfast is seeking dedicated Production Operators to carry out baling duties, labouring duties and fixed plant maintenance within a Recycling and Waste Management team in Hemmant, QLD. You will be part of a motivated crew in a fast-paced environment, ensuring operations run smoothly and safely.

Key responsibilities include operating the baler and wrapping line, monitoring material flow to meet targets, loading finished baled product into shipping containers and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Current Australian driver’s licence and full working rights.
• Experience in a similar production role.
• Reliability and punctuality are essential.
• High Risk Work Licence – Class LF is required.
• Must pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening.
• Demonstrated safety mindset and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate baler and wrapping line to maintain safe, efficient processing of finished product (PEF).
• Monitor material flow through baler, wrapper and feed systems to support production targets.
• Coordinate loading of finished baled product into shipping containers and manage storage in designated warehouse areas.
• Ensure heavy vehicles and containers are loaded in accordance with mass limits and site requirements.
• Identify and report equipment faults, process issues or safety concerns to the Supervisor or Maintenance team.

• Monitor and maintain consistent material flow through the baler, wrapper and associated feed systems to support production targets
• Coordinate the safe loading of finished baled product into shipping containers and manage product storage within designated warehouse areas
• Ensure all heavy vehicles and containers are loaded in accordance with mass limits and site requirements
• Identify and report equipment faults, process issues or safety concerns to the Operations Supervisor or Maintenance team
