Job summary

Workfast is seeking a Baler Operator to join our Recycling and Waste Management team in Hemmant, QLD. You will operate the baler and wrapping line to process finished product (PEF) safely and efficiently, and help maintain material flow to hit production targets.

Ideal candidates hold Australian driver's licence, a High Risk Work Licence (LF), reliable transport, and the ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug tests.

Qualifications

• Australian driver’s licence and full working rights.
• Prior experience in a similar baler/ recycling role.
• Reliable transport to and from site.
• High Risk Work Licence - Class LF.
• Able to pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol tests.
• Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks and work with others.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork on-site.

Responsibilities

• Operate the baler and wrapping line to ensure safe, efficient processing of finished product (PEF).
• Monitor material flow to support production targets and keep lines running.
• Coordinate loading of baled product into shipping containers and manage warehouse storage.
• Ensure heavy vehicles/containers are loaded within mass limits and site requirements.
• Identify and report equipment faults, process issues or safety concerns.

We are actively seeking dedicated Baler Operators to join our Recycling and Waste Management team. You will be part of a motivated crew working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that operations run smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the baler and wrapping line to ensure safe, efficient and continuous processing of finished
  product (PEF).
• Monitor and maintain consistent material flow through the baler, wrapper and associated feed
  systems to support production targets.
• Coordinate the safe loading of finished baled product into shipping containers and manage product
  storage within designated warehouse areas.
• Ensure all heavy vehicles and containers are loaded in accordance with mass limits and site
  requirements.
• Identify and report equipment faults, process issues or safety concerns to the Operations
  Supervisor or Maintenance team.

What You Bring to the Team:

• Australian Driver's Licence and full working rights.
• Prior experience in a Similar role.
• Must have reliable transport.
• High Risk Work License - Class LF
• Ability to pass pre employment medical & drug and alcohol test.
• A can-do attitude with a willingness to engage in physically demanding tasks when necessary.
• Professionalism and a commitment to team collaboration and workplace safety.
