Job summary

Workfast is hiring Labourers and Baler Operators for our Recycling and Waste Management team in Hemmant, QLD. You will operate baling and wrapping lines, ensure safe loading of finished products, and maintain smooth, efficient production flows in a fast-paced environment.

Successful candidates will hold Australian Driver's Licence with full working rights, a High Risk Work Licence - Class LF, and be able to pass pre-employment medical and drug tests.

Qualifications

• Australian Driver's Licence and full working rights.
• High Risk Work Licence - Class LF.
• Willingness to pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Operate the baler and wrapping line to process finished product (PEF) safely and efficiently.
• Monitor material flow through baler, wrapper and feed systems to meet production targets.
• Load finished baled product into shipping containers and manage warehouse storage.
• Ensure heavy vehicles/containers are loaded within mass limits and site rules.
• Identify and report equipment faults or safety concerns to Supervisors.

We are actively seeking dedicated Labourers and Baler Operators to join our Recycling and Waste Management team. You will be part of a motivated crew working in a fast paced environment, ensuring that operations run smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the baler and wrapping line to ensure safe, efficient and continuous processing of finished product (PEF).
• Monitor and maintain consistent material flow through the baler, wrapper and associated feed systems to support production targets.
• Coordinate the safe loading of finished baled product into shipping containers and manage product storage within designated warehouse areas.
• Ensure all heavy vehicles and containers are loaded in accordance with mass limits and site requirements.
• Identify and report equipment faults, process issues or safety concerns to the Operations Supervisor or Maintenance team.

What You Bring to the Team:

• Australian Driver's Licence and full working rights.
• Prior experience in a Similar role.
• Must have reliable transport.
• High Risk Work License - Class LF
• Ability to pass pre employment medical & drug and alcohol test.
• A can-do attitude with a willingness to engage in physically demanding tasks when necessary.
• Professionalism and a commitment to team collaboration and workplace safety.
