Job summary

Toowoomba Regional Council is seeking a Waste Plant Operator to operate and maintain our Waste Management Facilities across the region. You will manage equipment for waste placement, compaction and transport while upholding safety and efficiency.

You’ll join a supportive team with a strong safety-first mindset and access benefits including a permanent full-time role, RDO monthly, generous leave loading and super, on-call/overtime/weekend allowances and a 24/7 Employee Assistance Program.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HR licence or be willing to obtain HC within 6 months.
• White Card and Chain of Responsibility Level 1, or willing to obtain.
• First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
• Experience operating at least one heavy equipment listed.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery for waste placement, compaction and transport.
• Ensure safe and efficient operations and maintain facilities.
• Support a team committed to best practice waste management.
