Job summary

REMONDIS Australia is seeking a Waste Support Officer to join the team on-site at Robina Town Centre, Gold Coast, promoting sustainable waste practices through hands-on operational support, tenant engagement, and education.

You will oversee daily waste operations, engage with tenants, and help implement improvements to waste streams and recycling rates while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Clear communicator; confident working with tenants and staff.

• Background in environmental science, sustainability or education is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily waste operations at the centre.
• Understand site-specific waste streams and management.
• Promote sustainable improvements to processes.
• Optimize bin sizes and collection schedules.
• Inspect bins and storage areas for compliance.
• Promote correct waste segregation (general waste, recycling, organics).
• Reduce contamination and improve recycling rates.
• Respond to waste-related issues with cleaning and maintenance teams.
