Job summary

Central Coast Council NSW is seeking a skilled Plant Operator for Waste Operations. You will operate and maintain heavy plant such as landfill compactors, loaders and excavators, set levels, perform final trim and cell wall construction, and optimise landfill air space while supporting resource recovery.

Safety is a priority; you will conduct daily inspections, follow EPA and WHS requirements, and assist the public at the facility.

Qualifications

• HR/MR licence with commitment to upgrade to HR within a specified period.
• Construction General Induction Card - Safework NSW or equivalent.
• Statement of Attainment/Verification of Competency for Excavator/Loader or equivalent evidence of competency, with willingness to obtain more items as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain heavy plant including landfill compactors, loaders and excavators.
• Set levels, carry out final trim and cell wall construction, and optimise landfill air space.
• Adhere to safety policies, EPA and WHS requirements; perform daily plant inspections.
• Assist members of the public at the facility and provide quality customer service.
