Wagga Wagga City Council is seeking a qualified Plant Operator to join our Resource Recovery team at the Gregadoo Waste Management Centre. The role focuses on safe, efficient operation of plant and waste disposal with a commitment to a cleaner, sustainable community.

You will work a 38-hour week on a six-week rotating roster with two weekends in six. The package includes fortnightly pay, annual leave, on-call requirements, and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualificações

• Current Class HR Driver’s Licence.
• General Construction Induction Training Card.
• National Certificates of Competency - Forklift (LF) Desirable.
• Substantial experience relevant to the role.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team and independently.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and maintain Council plant and equipment (loader, water truck, hooklift truck, landfill compactor).
• Manage disposal of municipal, construction, demolition, commercial and industrial waste; control litter, traffic, earthworks and site safety.
• Maintain small plant, tools and PPE per Council standards; participate in team meetings.
• Complete site documentation including forms, payroll entries and safety records.
