Job summary

Cleanaway is seeking an Operator for the Auburn Transfer Station in NSW. The role is a permanent full-time afternoon shift (2PM start) Monday to Friday with weekend work available.

You will work hands-on with forklifts and other heavy machinery, assist drivers and customers with load placement, and handle waste loading and movement while upholding safety procedures. Ideal candidates have plant operator tickets, good mechanical aptitude, and a strong commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Plant Operator tickets required.
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
• Good mechanical aptitude and committed to safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery (Forklift - essential; excavators and bulldozers - preferred or willing to learn).
• Assist drivers and the public with correct load placement.
• Load and move dry waste for compaction and coverage.
• Safely operate vehicles and equipment in line with procedures.
• Assist with general housekeeping duties.
• Maintain a professional image and deliver high quality customer service.
