Job summary

Cleanaway Waste Management in Warrnambool, VIC, is seeking an Operator to join our transfer station team. You will operate excavators, wheel loaders and skid steers, ensuring yard cleanliness and efficient daily operations.

This hands-on role suits someone with heavy machinery experience who can work independently while delivering strong customer service to the public and site staff. Training and support are provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Current Excavator ticket
• Loader ticket current and valid
• Forklift licence preferred but not essential
• Experience is advantageous, but we value attitude and are willing to train the right candidate
• Proven ability to work autonomously and take initiative
• Committed to delivering excellent customer service to customers and members of the public
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery including excavators, wheel loaders and skid steers
• Maintain cleanliness in the yard
• Repair and maintain bins and other items
• Assist with weighbridge operations as required
• Support the day-to-day running of the transfer station
• Follow site safety and environmental procedures at all times
