Labourpower Recruitment Services Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our recycling facility in Smithfield, NSW. The role involves waste sorting, machine operation and troubleshooting, with training provided and a clear path to become a dayshift team leader.

No prior experience required, but you must be comfortable in a dirty, fast-paced environment and available Monday to Friday for 38 hours minimum. Immediate start and overtime opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit and able to lift 5kg-25kg repeatedly.
• Must stand for 6-8 hours at a time.
• Must be comfortable in hot, wet, dusty environments.
• Must be able to sort through recycling waste (paper, plastics, aluminium).
• Must thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be available for occasional overtime and weekend work.
• Must be able to start ASAP.
• Must have reliable transport.

About the role

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and motivated individual to join our recycling facility in Smithfield. As a team member, you will start by learning all aspects of the role, including waste sorting, machine operating, and machine troubleshooting. No prior experience is required, but you must be comfortable working in a dirty, fast-paced environment. This role offers a clear path to grow into a team leader position, overseeing the dayshift team. While experience in similar fields like warehousing, labouring, or people management is a plus, it’s not essential. We’re looking for someone committed to building a long-term career with a large national company, not just a job.

To be successful:

• Must be available Monday - Friday, 38hrs minimum
• Must be physically fit and able to lift between 5kg - 25kg repetitively
• Must be prepared to stand for 6 - 8 hours at a time
• Must be comfortable working in hot, wet, and dusty environments
• Must be able to sort through recycling waste (e.g., paper, plastics, aluminium)

• Must be willing to undergo and PASS a drug and alcohol test at our Labourpower Prestons office
• No experience required - Training will be provided
