LIVE EVENT LOGISTICS is seeking an experienced Warehouse & Yard Operations Manager for our Revesby facility. Take ownership of day-to-day warehouse, yard, and freight handling, coordinating trailers, freight transfers and labour while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The role requires hands-on leadership with a focus on process improvements, revenue-generation through storage operations, and adapting to touring schedules and busy periods. Overtime opportunities are available.

Warehouse & Yard Operations Manager

Take ownership of a major logistics facility supporting Australia's live entertainment industry.

LIVE EVENT LOGISTICS is a leading provider of specialist freight, trucking and logistics services to the music, touring, film, television and live entertainment industries.

From stadium concerts and international touring productions to festivals and major events, our operations support some of the biggest productions moving across Australia.

We're looking for an experienced, hands‑on Warehouse & Yard Operations Manager to take complete ownership of our Revesby facility.

This is not a desk-based management position. We need someone who can organise an operation, manage people and freight movements, maintain exceptional standards and get physically involved when required.

Someone who sees what needs doing, takes responsibility and gets it done.

About the role

You'll be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of our warehouse, yard, yard trailer movements, freight handling and client storage operations.

Our facility handles a combination of domestic and international freight, touring equipment, cross‑loading, storage and transport operations.

Workloads vary depending on touring schedules, with busy periods requiring careful coordination of freight, trailers, drivers and labour, and quieter periods providing opportunities to focus on maintenance, facility improvements, storage operations and local driving duties.

You'll have the autonomy to organise your day, plan labour requirements and establish efficient systems to keep the facility running professionally and profitably.

Key responsibilities

Yard, trailer and fleet coordination

• Manage all incoming and outgoing truck and trailer movements throughout the facility.
• Coordinate trailer arrivals, departures, positioning and operational readiness.
• Complete and document incoming and outgoing trailer inspections, including condition and damage reporting.
• Ensure trailers are cleaned, blown out, inspected and prepared for their next assignment.
• Manage the collection, cleaning, organisation and storage of straps, load bars and associated equipment.
• Maintain trailer readiness and communicate any defects, damage or maintenance requirements.
• Keep the yard organised, accessible, safe and operationally efficient.

Warehouse and freight handling

• Take full responsibility for incoming and outgoing freight movements.
• Coordinate loading, unloading, cross‑loading and freight transfers.
• Plan, book and supervise labour for cross‑loads, container unpacking and other handling requirements.
• Operate counterbalance and high‑reach forklifts.
• Undertake manual handling, palletising, shrink‑wrapping and freight preparation.
• Establish and maintain structured freight‑handling systems, processes and designated warehouse zones.
• Ensure freight is correctly identified, recorded, stored and ready for dispatch.
• Coordinate with domestic, international and trucking teams to meet operational deadlines.

Storage, inventory and commercial management

• Manage client storage areas, inventory records and stock movements.
• Maintain accurate records of freight received, stored, handled and dispatched.
• Oversee storage agreements, allocations and associated handling requirements.
• Ensure all storage, handling, labour and additional services are correctly recorded for billing.
• Identify opportunities to increase storage and terminal‑handling revenue.
• Manage the warehouse and storage operation as a productive, revenue‑generating profit centre.
• Maintain efficient use of warehouse space, equipment and labour.

Facility management and presentation

• Take ownership of the cleanliness, presentation, safety and organisation of the entire warehouse and yard.
• Maintain forklifts, warehouse equipment, handling materials and operational areas.
• Coordinate general facility upkeep and identify maintenance requirements.
• Implement practical improvements to workflow, productivity and operational standards.
• Ensure the facility remains ready for incoming freight and upcoming projects.

Driving and operational support

• Undertake local collections and deliveries using company trucks when required.
• Assist with driving duties during quieter operational periods.
• Support drivers and operational teams with loading, unloading and freight movements.
• Remain flexible and hands‑on across all aspects of the operation.

About you

We're looking for a capable operator who can manage an entire facility, not someone who needs constant direction.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience in warehouse management, yard supervision, transport operations or freight logistics.
• A current forklift licence with experience operating both counterbalance and high‑reach forklifts.
• A current driver's licence and the ability to drive a 3‑tonne truck as a minimum, HR + huge advantage
• Strong knowledge of truck and trailer loading, load restraint and freight handling.
• Experience coordinating staff, casual labour and subcontractors.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience with inventory management, warehousing and storage systems.
• A practical understanding of workplace safety and operational compliance.
• Confidence working independently and making day‑to‑day operational decisions.
• A strong work ethic, attention to detail and pride in maintaining a professional facility.
• A willingness to work on the floor, operate equipment and drive when required.

A Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's licence is highly regarded.

Experience in entertainment, touring, events, international freight or specialist transport would be an advantage, but is not essential.

Hours and flexibility

This is a full‑time position based at our Revesby facility, with 38 ordinary hours per week.

Our operations follow touring, transport and freight schedules rather than traditional warehouse hours.

You must be comfortable working a flexible roster, including early starts, later finishes, occasional weekends and after‑hours work as operational requirements dictate.

Overtime and additional hours will be available during busier periods, subject to operational requirements and applicable employment conditions.
