Job summary

Demolition Plus Contracting is seeking a dedicated Warehouse/Yard Labourer to join our Auburn yard on a casual basis. You will assist the Warehouse Manager with day-to-day operations, handling inbound shipments, stock checks and order preparation.

Applicants should have forklift experience; a licence is highly regarded. The role may lead to full-time after a trial period. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to transport themselves to the site, with weekend work possible.

Qualifications

• Casual with overtime and potential progression to full-time after a trial period.
• Must be reliable, punctual and able to commute to Auburn.
• Able to lift up to 20 kg and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify incoming shipments against picking lists.
• Unload, unpack and inspect inventory (tools and consumables).
• Perform quality checks on received items.
• Assist with stock organization and regular stock counts.
• Operate forklift, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as required.
• Support deliveries and ensure yard is tidy and safe.
• Provide assistance with picking, packing and loading daily orders.

Demolition Plus Contracting is seeking a dedicated and motivated Warehouse/Yard Labourerto join us on a casual basis to assist the the Warehouse Manager in the day-to-day operations of our yard located in Auburn.

Tasks & responsibilities

Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against picking lists

Unload and unpack incoming inventory (tools and consumables)

Perform quality checks on incoming inventory (tools and consumables)

Assist with stock organization

Conduct regular inventory stock counts

Work closely with Management to ensure efficient operations

Follow all safety procedures and guidelines

Use of forklift, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as required

Operating company vehicles for deliveries

Assisting with picking, packing and loading of daily orders

Ensuring the warehouse is tidy and safe

Delivery drivingwhen required

Experience & attributes:

Prior construction industry experience is advantageous, though non-essential

Good knowledge of power tools

Forklift licence is highly regarded

Previous experience in a warehouse environment

Able to commence ASAP

Casual position with overtime (when required), with a view to full-time position following a trial period

Fit, healthy and able to conduct repetitive manual handling

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (20kg) and stand for extended periods

Good communication and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Must be reliable and punctual

Have your own reliable transport

Be able to work weekends (when required)

Casual position with potential permanent position following a trial period
