Built Strong Demolition & Construction in Melbourne, VIC is seeking a reliable Demolition Worker for full-time hours starting at 5am. You will perform retail demolition and live-site work for major landlords, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role requires 4+ years in commercial demolition or construction, a White Card and an EWP ticket, willingness to work nights and weekends, and the ability to follow SWMS and cooperate with the team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years proven experience in commercial demolition or construction.
• White Card (mandatory).
• EWP ticket (mandatory).
• Experience in shopping centre or live environments is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of site safety, PPE, and risk awareness.
• Reliable, punctual and physically fit for hands-on work.
• Able to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Willingness to work after hours, night shifts and weekends when required.
• Australian citizens only.

Responsibilities

• Perform retail demolition works to meet tight deadlines and on budget.
• Work additional hours to meet deadlines.
• Jackhammering floor coverings and screed removal.
• Concrete floor grinding (training provided).
• Floor levelling/screeding/floor preparation.
• Shopfront removal, including glass and structural steel components.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, jackhammers, and demolition equipment.
• Carry out site preparation, material removal, and site clean-up.
• Maintaining centre cleanliness at all times.
• Work in accordance with SWMS, permits, and site safety requirements.
• Maintain clean, controlled worksites and minimise disruption to surrounding businesses.

Job Type: Full-time - 5am start time

The Role

We work with the biggest landlords in Australia completing projects directly for them, with consistent work that challenges the team to grow their skills. As the business grows and takes on more projects so do the opportunities within the business. Additional training and tickets outside of the day to day will be provided that will help you grow your skill set to move up and take on more responsibility.

Key Responsibility

• Maintain clean, controlled worksites (dust, noise, and presentation)
• Follow supervisor direction and contribute to a well coordinated team
• Ensure all works are completed with minimal disruption to surrounding businesses

About You

Carpenters are preferred for the role (qualified carpenter) or

Proven experience in commercial demolition or construction 4+ years

White Card (mandatory)

EWP ticket (mandatory)

Experience in shopping centre or live environments (highly regarded)

Reliable, punctual, and physically fit for hands on work
