Job summary

Bulk Group in Arndell Park, Sydney NSW, is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to manage a busy transport and distribution operation on-site. You will lead the warehouse floor, coordinate daily freight movements, and ensure safe, efficient handling of loads.

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you’ll work with the Warehouse & Transport Planner to prioritise inbound and outbound freight and support day-to-day operations, team development, and safety on site.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a warehouse team on the floor.
• Current LF Forklift Licence.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to supervise operations.

Responsibilities

Warehouse Team Leader | Transport & Distribution

Full-Time | On-Site

Bulk Group is looking for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join our team in a hands-on role within our busy transport and distribution operation.

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you'll be a hands-on leader on the warehouse floor, helping coordinate the team and keeping daily freight movements running safely and efficiently.

You’ll work closely with our Warehouse & Transport Planner to make sure inbound and outbound freight is prioritised, prepared and ready for collection and dispatch, while supporting the Warehouse Supervisor with the day-to-day running of the operation.

This is a working Team Leader role

You’ll be operating forklifts, loading and unloading freight and working alongside the team, while also providing direction and helping keep the floor organised and moving.

About the Role

Day to day, you’ll be:

• Providing hands-on leadership and direction to the warehouse team
• Helping coordinate daily workloads and priorities across the floor
• Operating forklifts and working alongside the team with loading, unloading and movement of freight
• Coordinating the receival, staging and dispatch of inbound and outbound freight
• Making sure freight is prepared, staged and ready for scheduled collections and dispatch
• Working closely with the Warehouse & Transport Planner around daily freight priorities and transport requirements
• Coordinating with drivers as they arrive on site for collections and deliveries
• Keeping an eye on workflow throughout the day and helping adjust priorities when things change
• Making sure freight is handled, stored and loaded safely and correctly
• Supporting new starters and helping maintain good work practices across the team
• Keeping the warehouse and operational areas safe, organised and moving
• Escalating operational, freight or safety issues to the Warehouse Supervisor when required

What You’ll Need

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Team Leader, Leading Hand or experienced senior warehouse operator
• Strong experience in warehousing, freight, transport, cross-dock or distribution
• Current LF Forklift Licence
• Confident forklift operating experience
• Experience across loading, unloading, receivals and dispatch
• The confidence to provide direction and keep a team focused on daily priorities
• Strong safety awareness
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with warehouse teams, drivers and other operational staff
• A practical, organised approach and the ability to keep things moving when priorities change
• Most importantly, a hands-on attitude. You're prepared to work alongside the team and lead by example
