Job summary

Knauf Australia, located in Chullora, seeks a Shift Supervisor to lead staff on a 6am-3pm shift and ensure operational targets are met. You will train the team, manage stock takes, and handle customer complaints in line with Knauf procedures.

Role requires forklift licence, police check, and valid Australian working rights; physical fitness and pre-employment medical are also required. Onsite parking is available, with opportunities for development and a yearly pay review.

Qualifications

• Experience in distribution and logistics industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling.
• Full Australian working rights; no visa sponsorship.
• Valid forklift licence.
• Pre-employment medical completed.
• Police check required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage staff on assigned shift to meet targets.
• Train and develop new team members to uphold service and safety standards.
• Manage stocktake and inventory records.
• Record and report customer complaints according to procedures.
• Pick and pack customer orders.
• Maintain equipment and report faults.
• Support continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
• Analyse KPI and stock data to identify issues and prepare reports.

About the Role

As a Shift Supervisor, you will have the responsibility for managing staff on your allocated shift and ensuring that operational targets are consistently achieved.

Some tasks as part of this role include:

• Supporting the training and development of new team members to ensure they understand and deliver our high standards of customer service and safety
• Manage stocktake / inventory counts process to ensure accurate inventory records are maintained
• Record and report any customer complaints to the Trade Stores Manager regarding product and / or service via Knauf's complaint and customer procedures
• Picking & Packing customer orders
• Maintain operational equipment and report any faults or damage to management
• Accountable for continuous improvement at the site
• Occupational Health & Safety and preventative maintenance
• Assist in analysing KPI and stock-keeping data, identifying issues, and preparing reports for resolution and action

About You

• Full and Unrestricted Australian working rights – We do not offer visa sponsorship of any kind (including offers of employment)
• Valid Police Check
• Valid forklift licence
• Prior experience within the Distribution & logistics Industry
• Experience using Microsoft office
• Be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Successful completion of pre-employment medical
