Job summary
Bunnings is seeking an Assistant Site Manager in Victoria to lead daily operations, drive sales growth and manage stock in a high-volume store. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will lead 180+ team members and coordinate with department managers to deliver Best Experience for customers.
You will oversee safety, compliance and performance metrics, mentor Department Managers, and work with distribution centres to support the wider area group. Weekend rosters apply.
Qualifications
- Experience leading a team of 50+
- Retail industry experience or large high-volume operation
- Commitment to safety walks, audits and coaching
- Strong understanding of retail metrics (sales, margin, wages)
- Ability to develop Department Managers and staff to lift performance
- Experience leading stock integrity and stocktakes
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 50+ direct reports including duty manager responsibilities (open/close)
- Conduct safety walks and audits, coach safe behaviours
- Monitor sales, margin and wage targets; implement improvement plans
- Drive sales through merchandising and strategic planning; coach Dept Managers
- Oversee stock accuracy, adjustments and stocktake investigations
- Monitor Customer Satisfaction and Team Engagement metrics
