Job summary

Whitehaven Coal Limited is seeking a Warehouse Operator at Maules Creek to provide safe, efficient warehouse support for maintenance and mining ops. You will receive, store, manage and issue parts; use Pulse systems to keep inventory accurate and support timely freight delivery to maximise equipment availability.

Qualifications

• Experience in mining, warehousing, logistics or heavy industry.
• Experience with Pulse or SAP S/4HANA and warehouse systems.
• LF High Risk Work Licence and passing Coal Board Medical required.
• Experience in goods receipting, inventory control and heavy freight.
• Strong safety, communication and problem-solving skills with teamwork emphasis.

Job description

As a Warehouse Operator, you will provide a safe and efficient warehouse service supporting maintenance and mining operations across our Maules Creek operation. You will receive, store, manage and issue materials and freight, ensuring maintenance teams have the right parts available when needed.

Using Pulse systems, you will maintain accurate inventory records and support the timely delivery of materials to minimise downtime and maximise equipment availability. You will also contribute to a strong safety culture, inventory accuracy and continuous improvement across the warehouse.

This position involves working a 7/7 work pattern consisting of day and night shifts. Relocation support or accommodation options are available.

What You'll Do

• Receive, inspect, store and issue materials safely and accurately, including picking and staging parts for scheduled, breakdown and shutdown maintenance.
• Maintain accurate inventory transactions in Pulse, including goods receipts, goods issues, bin transfers, adjustments and stocktakes.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound freight, prioritising critical materials and ensuring freight is prepared and transported safely and compliantly.
• Expedite urgent freight and critical materials to minimise operational delays and support equipment availability.
• Provide responsive warehouse support to Maintenance, Operations and Supply teams, communicating material availability and resolving inventory discrepancies.
• Follow site Safety, Health and Environmental requirements, maintaining high housekeeping standards and safely operating warehouse equipment.

What You'll Bring

• Experience in mining, warehousing, logistics or heavy industry, ideally open-cut coal
• Experience with Pulse or SAP S/4HANA and warehouse/supply chain systems
• Current LF High Risk Work Licence and ability to pass Order 45 Coal Board Medical
• Experience in goods receipting, inventory control, bin management and heavy freight
• Strong safety, communication and problem-solving skills with a focus on teamwork and continuous improvement
