Job summary

AkzoNobel is seeking a Warehouse Operator in Sydney to support day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring on-time, accurate delivery to customers. You will work with the Warehouse Supervisor to uphold safety, process efficiency and stock control while operating forklifts and warehouse systems.

The role requires relevant forklift certifications, attention to detail, and a proactive, team-oriented approach to maintain safe, efficient warehouse activities and support customer service and inventory

As a Warehouse Operator, you will support the day-to-day operations of the warehouse to ensure products are delivered on time and in full to customers. Working closely with the Warehouse Supervisor, you will help maintain high service standards, strong safety performance, and efficient warehouse processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders accurately and on time
• Receive, unload and put away stock replenishments
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently
• Tint paint products as required
• Process warehouse documentation including delivery dockets, consignment notes and Dangerous Goods paperwork
• Maintain accurate stock handling and order processing
• Undertake cycle counts and assist with stocktakes
• Manage damaged stock appropriately
• Liaise with customers and suppliers
• Support reporting and data entry requirements
• Assist with customer service and handling customer enquiries
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain high standards of safety and 5S housekeeping
• Conduct routine equipment checks and report defects
• Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures
• Work independently when required in the absence of the Supervisor
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed

What You’ll Bring

Previous warehouse experience preferred

• Valid forklift licence
• Experience operating a reach truck and counterbalance forklift
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Commitment to workplace health and safety
• Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks
• Self-motivated with a positive team-oriented attitude
• Experience using SAP or similar warehouse systems
• Experience with stock control and inventory processes
