Job summary

AkzoNobel is seeking a Warehouse Operator / Storeperson to join our Mackay operations on a permanent full-time basis. You will assist in daily warehousing tasks, maintain stock accuracy, and support safety and efficiency across the centre.

Ideal candidates will have warehouse experience, a forklift license, a current manual driving licence, and a focus on health and safety. SAP experience is a plus, with a team-oriented, proactive attitude valued in this role.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse role.
• Forklift license and counterbalance forklift experience.
• Current manual driver’s license and ability to drive manual vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, picking, packing, tinting paint, and dispatching goods.
• Conduct stock control activities such as cycle counts and stocktakes.
• Maintain equipment and ensure safe, efficient handling of goods.
• Maintain high standard of customer service through effective communication, accuracy, and stock handling within the centre.
• Process documentation such as Dangerous Goods paperwork, delivery dockets, and consignment notes.
• Support the Trade Centre Manager with data entry, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you will be doing:

• Previous experience in a warehouse role.
• Forklift License and experience operating a counterbalance Forklift.
• Current manual driver's license.
• Experience with using SAP (desirable).

• Excellent planning, organizing, and time management skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
